- Help Christian Walk Again – Hip Replacement Surgery Appeal

Hello, my name is Christian Iredia Osagiede, from Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

About eight years ago, I woke up one morning and discovered that I could no longer walk. Since that day, I’ve been unable to stand or move properly on my own. After several medical check-ups, doctors confirmed that I need a total hip replacement on both sides.

The cost of the synthetic ball-and-socket hip joints and surgery runs into over ₦10 million — an amount far beyond my reach.

In my desperation to find healing, I’ve been to different spiritual churches and healers. Sadly, most of them only took advantage of my pain, collecting money and giving promises that never came true. I’ve lost all my savings to these false hopes.

I was a professional barber before my condition started. I still try to cut hair while sitting, but it’s painful, slow, and exhausting. I lose many customers and can hardly earn enough to survive.

The emotional pain has been heavy too. Two years ago, my wife left me because of the financial struggle, and since then I’ve been battling loneliness and depression. Earlier this year, I even felt suicidal because life became too hard to bear. I turned 41 on September 3rd, still praying for a second chance — to walk, to work, and to have a family one day.

I’m appealing to your kind hearts to please help me raise funds for my hip replacement surgery so I can finally walk again, regain my dignity, and rebuild my life.
